Have you ever wanted to grow your own food but thought you didn’t have enough space?

The Feed the Change MKE Gardening Workshop is a hands-on educational experience designed to show how everyday people can successfully grow fresh food in urban environments. Whether you have a backyard, patio, balcony, or just a few containers, you’ll learn practical techniques that can help you produce food right where you are.

Led by urban farmer and educator Brittney Hutcherson of The Melanin Urban Gardener, this workshop combines gardening education, food access, and community empowerment to help participants take meaningful steps toward greater food self-sufficiency.

What You’ll Learn

During this workshop, participants will learn:

  • The benefits of raised beds, grow bags, and container gardening

  • High-intensity planting methods that maximize harvests
